On Sunday, January 25,longtime Catonsville and Silver Spring resident, Ray Lee, devoted husband of Mary Kirby Lee; cherished father of Susan Lee Maranto (Robert), and Phyllis Lee Hirschman (Michael); beloved grandfather of the late Katherine Marie Riley and Steven Lee Riley and Melissa Lee Hirschman and Max Alexander Hirschman, passed away. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. Lee was a proud Air Force veteran, having flown 34 missions as a Bombardier on a B-24 Liberator during the Second World War. Later, he and his wife built the very successful Ray Lee Insurance Agency, which they ran for 37 years. After retirement, they moved to Leisureworld in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Family will receive friends at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm, where services will be held on Saturday at 1pm. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
