On June 28, 2013, Steve Lee Siegmann, beloved son, uncle, nephew and husband went to rest with the LORD. He is survived by his mother, Delores Mae Colson Siegmann, his father Charles "Ed" Siegmann; his former spouses, Kaitlin Murphy of Belair, Jude Martin of Pikesville and Harriett Graham Kean of Greensboro NC; his treasured dogs, Daisy and Squirt; his sister Charlene Siegmann Hiester of Charlotte NC, and brother-in-law Paul Hiester of Charlotte, NC; nieces and nephew Krista Masica of Baltimore MD, Andrew Mascia of Pasadena MD and Rachel Hiester of Charlotte NC; his aunts Patricia Siegmann Singer Gurbelski of Baltimore MD , Janet Ries and his uncle Wayne Ries; and his four cousins and their families. He has joined his beloved grandparents Eleanor Siegmann (deceased) and Edwin Siegmann (deceased), of Baltimore MD, Rhoda Warfield Colson Ries (deceased) and Edgar Ries (deceased) of Orlando, FL.
Steve graduated with a BS Chemical Engineering Degree from University of MD, College Park in 1985. He was most recently the Regional Construction and Contractor Management Advisor for BP Lubricants Americas, a former President/Owner of Corrosion Repair Inc. and EV Engineering LLC, former Site Director of several plants, Global Director of Safety and Emergency Response Manager and Six Sigma Process Champion during his years with Millennium Chemicals in Baltimore.
Steve was an accomplished athlete. He was a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a U.S National and World Roller Skating Dance Champion, a gold medalist at two Olympic Sports Festivals in Roller Skating Dance, and a participant in the Pan Am Games. He was also briefly a competitive ball room dancer as well as an avid lover of skiing, boating, golf and tennis.
A memorial service will be held at Ripken Stadium, Club Level, the home of Epic Community Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13th.
