Alice Lucille Epps

Alice Lucillee Epps, of Castle Pines, CO, passed peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2021. Lue was born in Meridian, Mississippi to RW and Fannie Mapp, Alice (Lue) on October 11, 1958 and was described as a loving, caring and devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. Lue was passionate about many things giving her time and strength to serving God and loving and caring for her family as well as everyone else who was blessed to know and love her. Being in her presence you couldn’t help but feel loved and welcomed, a part of her family. In June of 1978, Lue met DW Epps and immediately fell in love. She was the love of his life and he was the love of hers. They went on to be married for 43 years and have 3 children together.

Lue was a fiercely dedicated, loving and strong mother, raising 3 equally strong, independent and loyal children. She was our constant supporter and always strived to keep us walking a path leading to our best selves. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Lue as a mother. She will be greatly missed and will always hold our hearts with her.

Preceded in death by her parents, RW and Fannie Mapp of Casper, WY.

Survived by her husband, D.W. Epps of Castle Pines, CO, and her children, Monee Epps of Aurora, CO, Mr. & Mrs. Wayland and Samara McElroy of Cottleville, MO and Mr. & Mrs. Anthony and Lauren Epps of Denver, CO; Two brothers, Mr. W.C. Mapp of Casper, WY, Mr. & Mrs. Roy and Sandee Mapp of Highlands Ranch, CO and one sister, Gerthleen Spivey of Centennial, CO; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation for Lue will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 4pm until 6pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Centennial, CO. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Encounter Church at 11am, followed by burial at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery at 1pm

Those we love don’t go away;

Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
