In 1968, Barb met her future husband, while at a house party where she was being tossed out a window into the alley. They were married April 25, 1970. Shortly after she was blessed with a son and daughter. Barb continued her education both in Colorado and California getting a degree in nursing from Pasadena City College in 1982. She worked in several facets of nursing including: hospital care, home health, hospice care, and transplants. She retired in 2015.
In retirement she enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the park to feed the ducks. She spent endless hours pushing them on swings and watching them climb on structures at the playground. She loved every dance recital and every gymnastics meet. She was at every scout ceremony and school performance. She never tired of shopping with her daughter and a single trip would last for hours. And with her son, she spent all day on home improvement projects around this house. When she got home she would talk endlessly about how much better the bedroom looked or the bathroom was.
Around her house she was always doing home improvements. She stuccoed the exterior of the house including the chimney, which was 20 feet high. She built a two-story club house for the grand kids including built in desk in the upper half and a sink in the downstairs half. She built benches, tables, and anything else needed around the house.
Barb also gardened endlessly. She brought beauty to every plot of ground she touched and knew how to keep the weeds away.
Above all, she loved passionately! She loved her husband of 53 years, her children, her grandchildren, and her two pugs. She is beloved by all.
Barb is survived by her husband, Stewart; her children, Stew and Sandra (husband TR Monaghan); her grandchildren, Tasha, Seamus, and Michaela; and her pugs, Tucker and Spanky. Barb is also survived by her brothers, Steve, Doug, Paul, and Dean. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Alma Morley.
