Becky was born in Denver, Colorado, to William Anderson and Doris Anderson. She had an older brother, Michael “Mickey” Anderson and a younger brother, Todd Anderson.
She grew up in Denver and attended George Washington High School before continuing her education at the University of Northern Colorado. It was there that she met the love of her life, Don Vestal. Becky earned her degree in education and went on to teach elementary school in North Denver. She had a natural love for children and a gift for making them feel seen, encouraged, and valued.
Becky and Don shared 54 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on family and hard work. She was a steadfast partner to Don, supporting him in every way and standing beside him through every season of life. After the birth of their first son, Ben, they purchased the Garden Patch from Don’s parents, Bonnie and Fred Vestal. During those early years, Becky supported Don as he launched his own business, while she ran the Garden Patch and raised their young children—balancing work and family with grace and unwavering dedication.
Family was at the center of Becky’s life. Her children were her world, and she poured her energy into supporting them in every way possible, spending countless hours on the sidelines of games, attending every event, coaching softball, serving as a Girl Scout leader, and so much more. Her steady presence, encouragement, and love shaped not only her children’s lives, but the lives of all who knew her.
Becky’s greatest joy was being a grandmother. She took a deep interest in each of her grandchildren’s lives and devoted as much time as possible to them. Her love was constant, generous, and full of warmth. Becky was known for her loyalty, kindness, and fun-loving spirit, and her warmth touched everyone around her.
Becky is survived by her husband, Don Vestal; her children: Ben Vestal (Jill), Matt Vestal (Lindsey), Cassie Fering (John), and John Vestal (Davis); her grandchildren: Jack, Norah, Lila, Leah, Ella, Grey, Henry, and William. She is also survived by her brother, Todd Anderson (Laurie). She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Doris, and her brother Mickey.
