Carter Lee Higdon was born on February, 2 1990 at Swedish Hospital. His parents, Sara and Jerry, were so excited to have Carter enter their lives. Carter Lee was named after Sara’s Virginia family name “Carter” (also Sara’s middle name) and Jerry’s middle name “Lee”.
Carter attended High Plains Elementary School, Cherry Creek Academy, Campus Middle School, Cherry Creek High School and Lincoln College of Technology. He had a lifelong passion for all things automotive and he owned 3 different cars over time – a BMW M3, a Jaguar sedan and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. We understand the Greenwood Village traffic cops knew Carter on a first name basis!
Carter had many friends from school and from life. He really appreciated their support and loyalty. He also had a dog named Teddy who adored him.
Carter has many relatives who have loved him all of his 21 years, both local and on the east coast. He also gained two new family members in 2004 with a step dad and step sister who will greatly miss him.
Carter has always been loved unconditionally by his Mom. Sometimes he called her Mom and sometimes Sara – originally it started as a way to quickly find his Mom on the playground by not yelling “Mom” like every other kid. From 4 months of bed-rest before his birth to the daily “Hi Mom” phone calls, Carter and Sara were “Team Carter” and they were wonderful together. Carter is the light of Sara’s life and she holds his heart and soul in her heart forever.
We Love you Carter, Your Friends and Family
