Born on June 14th, 1938, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Henry and Louise Eddy. Clint grew up in Lakewood Colorado, and he graduated from Lakewood High School in 1956. Clint went on to graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering in 1962.
He married the love of his life Judith Ann Brown in 1957, and the two of them were happily married for over 40 years up until Judy’s passing in 2002. They were blessed with three children: Mark, Scott, and Karen, and three cherished grandchildren, Colton, Kilian, and Kalie.
Clint worked proudly in the mining industry as a District Manager for Columbia Steel Casting Company, a career that he enjoyed for over 50 years. His territory covered multiple US states, as well as regions of Australia and New Zealand. He helped to secure major accounts in Papua New Guinea and Bougainville which led to significant growth for his company, and he was always being recognized for his dedication and hard work. His travels with Columbia took him to cities in various parts of the world including Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Aukland, Christchurch, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and he often shared stories about his time in these cities and the friendships that he built with his clients. When his Australian friends would visit the US and come to Colorado, it wasn’t uncommon that they would stay with the Eddy family in Lakewood.
As a young man, Clint was always active and he loved sports. He ran track and played football in high school and college. He loved the outdoors and he enjoyed spending weekends skiing, hiking, fishing, boating, and camping with family and friends. Clint loved the mountains and he could name every peak along the front range and tell you their exact elevation.
Clint was an avid golfer and played every chance he got. He was a long-time member of the Lakewood Country Club, and he loved spending time there with his clients, friends, and family. During the summer months, he would often join his children and grandchildren at the pool and have dinner with them on the patio. He enjoyed the many summer barbecues, holiday brunches, Halloween celebrations, family dinners, graduation parties, and birthday get togethers that took place there. Numerous happy Eddy family memories were made at his club.
Clint was highly active in his Masonic Fraternity. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Denver Scottish Rite Consistory and the El Jebel Shrine. In 1985 he proudly followed in his father’s footsteps to become the Master of Union Lodge #7 in Denver, CO and he remained an active member of his lodge for decades.
Clint was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Henry, and Lousie Eddy; his cherished wife, Judy; and his two sons, Mark and Scott. He is survived by his daughter Karen (Chris) Scheer; three grandchildren - Colton, Kilian, and Kalie Scheer. He is also survived by his brother, Glen Eddy, and sister-in-law, Sally Eddy; his cousins, Kent Eddy, Marty Bunch, and Philip Prince; two nieces, Jennifer Eddy Blaydes and Nici Eddy Bothwell; and a nephew, Michael Eddy. His family was central to his life, and their cherished memories—like Sunday evening family dinners, birthday celebrations at Lakewood Country Club, and heartfelt conversations during holiday festivities—reflect his enduring love and legacy. These moments of closeness and joy embody the warmth he brought to every Eddy gathering, leaving behind a legacy of affection and togetherness that continues to unite his loved ones.
