Eldest daughter of Alice and Elwood Godfrey, an Army lifer, she and her sister Pattie grew up on bases all over the US, with a 3 year stay in Germany where the family adopted a son, Tim.
Married Homer Watson her senior year in college, producing Scott and Michelle, while teaching High School English and German in Kansas. Divorced in 1976, she then met and married Kent Clark in 1978 In Champaign, IL, producing the twins, Matthew and Jacqueline.
First in Oak Park, IL, then in Denver, Co, Connie held many jobs - finance analyst, exec secretary to the president of a mid-sized company, Employment agent, Computer skills teacher, among various Admin positions in large and small businesses. Also dabbled in several MLM products, finding good products, but little financial reward.
She loved ballroom dancing and singing Karaoke - great Patsy Cline "Crazy", bowling and playing games online. She doted on her three grandchildren, Maya, Eli, and Greysen, and adored her son-in-law Charlie, who took the Clark surname upon his wedding.
She was surrounded by almost all of her family that last day, and will be be greatly missed by all. 45 years, I wanted another 10.
Her ashes will interred at Ft Logan, where her mom and dad are buried, in a slot with room for her beloved Kent, eventually.
Love, always and forever...In spite of ourselves.
