Darrell S. Daigh

He grew up on a farm near Persia, Iowa with 10 siblings attending a one room schoolhouse. He attended High School at Logan, Iowa where he met his bride, Audrey K. Dunn, and they married November 10, 1963. Their union was blessed with two children, Christopher (Tina), and Heather (Larry) Daigh-Leonard.

Darrell was called to serve our country in the Army in October 1966 for two years. He served in Vietnam for 9 months in an artillery battalion as intelligence specialist. Following his service, Darrell graduated from Iowa Western Community College at Council Bluffs, Iowa in electronic technology.

He worked for Northwestern Bell as a toll technician in Red Oak, Iowa and later drove to Council Bluffs to work in the office there. Darrell retired March of 2001 after 32 years. He and Audrey moved to Parker, Colorado to be near their children and grandchildren, the loves of his life.

After retirement, Darrell worked for Heather and Larry doing heating and air conditioning installation until July of 2009.

In addition to being a loving husband and father, he was a much loved grandpa to Bailey, Ashley, Jordon, and Justin.

Darrell loved to help his neighbors and friends and make people laugh. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, and camping.

Darrell went to be with our Lord on August 4, 2011.
