

Crabtree, Doris Ruth (Rawson). Doris Crabtree passed away peacefully in Englewood, Colorado on November 10, 2014, at the age of 90. Doris was born in Eckley, CO, on August 24, 1924, to Charles and Luie Rawson. She was the youngest of six children. Doris married Dale Crabtree in Yuma, CO on Dale’s 21st birthday, December 7, 1941. Later that day news of the attack on Pearl Harbor reached Colorado, so the next morning Dale and his brother Harry enlisted in the Navy. Doris was an expert seamstress, and was famous among friends and family for herscratch apple pie, sugar cookies and homemade noodles. Her passion was tending over 25 rose bushes, many at least fifty years old and taller than she was. Doris was preceded in death by Dale in 2000. She is survived by her son, Richard and daughter-in-law Cathy of Centennial, CO, and grandson, Matt, his wife Christina, great grandson Max and great granddaughter Clarisa, all of Monrovia, California. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Chapel Hill Mortuary,6601 S. Colorado Blvd., Centennial, CO. Services will be at 2pm, Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow.
