Dorothy M. Kerbel

Dorothy “Dot, Dotty” Marcine (Bowers) Kerbel, age 93¾ of Denver, passed away on January 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kerbel; her parents, Linnsey and Anna “MeMe” (Archer) Bowers; brothers, Sherman Bowers (Vi) and Dick Bowers (Jean) and her sister, Phyllis O’Connell (Johnny).

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Krista Caliga (Bob) and “daughter, by choice”, Jan Hale (Bill); grandchildren, Mishala Ann Davis (Steve), Mason James Evans (Sara), Sara Xena-Marie Caliga and Rachel Eve Caliga (Emily); great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jaden and Luna; brother Sherman Bowers’ children, Susan, Becky, Wendy, and Lance; sister Phyllis “Fedie” O’Connell’s children, Earlene and Sharon; brother Dick Bowers’ children, Kathlynne and Shawn and sister-in-law, DeeDee Dixon.

Dorothy will also be missed by other loved family members, Richard "Greg" Wallis (Lynn) and children, Jim, James, Wesley and Jeramy; Daryk Askew (Susan) and children, Shaylie and Kaleb; Jadie Huegal (Paul) and children, Daphne and Madden; Tammy Baker (Byron) and children, Brian and Brianna; Colby and Cory Hammil; Sampson cousins: Sandy, Evette, Shelby and Steve; Kathy Felli (Pierre); MaryLou Churches and her long-time circle of family friends, Jeannie ”daughter-in-love” and Dave “friend, neighbor and son-in-love” Holley and their children, Nathan and Felicia and grandchildren, Alexi, Melia, and Kalie; Bernie Claar (Beryl) and children, Patty, Ricky, and Nancy; Florence Warren (Bob); Roz Trujillo (Al); Bill Dunst; Rebecca “Boots” O’Halloran; Donna; Alene McKinnon; the Hutchisons; the Ludlums; Bill Gabbard; Howard Kierstein, MD; Dr. Edwards, DVM; and Muffy, her dog.

Visitation was held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, Colorado, 80121. Burial to be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado, 80236.
