Betty was born April 27, 1928 to William Walter and Myra Olive Harritt on a farm outside of Watonga, Oklahoma. She had 4 siblings Thomas Roy, La Burma Rose, James William, and Rose Ellen. Rose remains living in Oklahoma. Betty was a graduate of Watonga High School.
Betty married Joe Raymond McDaniel in 1948 and to them was born Elizabeth Marie (Beth). Sadly, Mr. McDaniel passed away 2 weeks before Beth was born. Betty remarried to Robert William Duncan in 1951. The Duncan’s became a family of 8, “the 8 B’s” as each of them were called by names beginning with the letter “B”. Betty is survived by all of her children, Beth, Robert William II (Bill), Bonita Elaine (Bonnie), Bryan Payne, Victor Brent (Brent), and Charles Edgar (Bud). She will be missed by all so very much. Betty was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Betty was also a business woman and an administrator throughout her adult life. She made many friends who were near and dear to her. She was always quite active at many things. Along with her business ventures and being such a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a life time member of Eastern Star, a quilter, an avid reader, and a Denver Broncos fan, to name a few.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. Betty will be laid to rest at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, the same day.
