Eva Kathleen Post

Eva comes from a loving family. Her husband Robert Russell Post, the Post family, and two sisters who reside in Indiana. She is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Strube. Eva left behind a great many friends and professional colleagues, and she was deeply loved by all.

Eva grew up in Indiana, attending Bloomington High School, and subsequently graduated with a B.S. in mathematics, from Highlands University, in Las Vegas, NM.

While in New Mexico, she became a member of the Bahai faith, and became fluent in Spanish which was a great asset to her in her professional career. She went on to graduate school in optometry at Pacific University at Forest Grove, OR, receiving a Doctorate of Optometry Degree in 1981. She married Robert L. Strube, and moved to Golden, CO to open a practice there.

In recent year’s Eva worked on a part-time basis for a number of local optometrists in the Denver area. In 2017, she married Robert Russell Post, a retired Colorado attorney, also residing in Golden.

Eva had a beautiful voice. She was a member, with her husband, of both The Colorado Choir and The Mile High Church Choir. In addition to her vocal talents, she was an accomplished flautist and pianist.
