

Fred Price Harris passed away December 12, at home with his family at his side. He passed away peacefully after a short illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Therese of 43 years. He is also survived by his two children, Regina of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Janet (Larry) of Aurora, Colorado, three grandchildren, Katie (Jamie), Lisa (Ron), and Adam all of Colorado, and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Larry (Rose), sister-in-law, Ann, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd., Centennial, Colorado 80121, on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:00 am. Fred will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
Fred was born on February, 14, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to Mary and Fred P. Harris, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James. He was raised in Flint, Michigan and attended St. Michael’s High School in Maple Grove, Michigan after moving with his parents tot eh family farm in Flushing Township, Michigan. He attended Assumption College in Windsor, Canada, the University of Detroit and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of Great Falls, Great Falls, Montana.
He served in the Army Air Corp in Panama from 1946 to 1949. He eventually moved to Denver, Colorado and resided in Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs before he and Jane retired in Casa Grande Arizona in 1991.
Fred belonged to the Knights of Columbus since 1959. He served in many positions with the Knights in Denver, Colorado but was most recently in the 4th degree with the council in Casa Grande which he was most proud of. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Casa Grande. He was also an avid Denver Broncos Fan.
A memorial service in Casa Grande, Arizona will be held at a later date.
