Howard was born May 10, 1948 to David Hudson Lambert (Denver, CO) and Rose Ellen Lucas (Leicester, England)
He grew up in the City of Sheridan and after graduating from Sheridan Union High School in 1966, he joined the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Hornet during the Vietnam war.
In 1969, he married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis June Peters, and they moved to San Diego, CA so he could finish his tour. They moved back to Sheridan to be close to family, and together they raised 2 children, Bridgett and Sean. In 1999, they decided to move to Castle Rock, CO and they lived happily until his passing.
Howard is survived by his younger brother David W. (Leslie) Lambert, his wife of 52 years, Phyllis, his daughter Bridgett (Barry) Hawkins, his son Sean (Kristi) Lambert, his 4 grandkids: Bryanna (Gabriel) Estrada, Seth Hawkins, Kayla Hawkins and Shelby Lambert and 2 great-grandkids Terrance Estrada and Lilly Estrada.
