Isabel Charlotte Zolna passed away on October 17, 2017. She was born on September 27, 2017 to her loving and dedicated parents, Whitney (Centerbar) and Jacob Zolna of Castle Rock, Colorado. Isabel was also loved and cherished by her grandparents, Vicki and Jay Centerbar of Huntington, VT, her grandparents Deb and Mike Zolna of Aurora, CO; aunt and uncle, Hayley and Cory Contois and cousins, Connor, Adriana and Camden Contois, all of Huntington, VT.
Throughout her short life, Izzy fought like a warrior. She loved being held, touched, and talked to by her mommy and daddy. She let them know by smiling, squeezing, moving her “happy feet” and opening her eyes when they kissed her. She defied odds when they were against her and created hope for all those who loved her.
Although Isabel was only on this earth for a short time, she moved mountains. She made everyone who knew of her want to be better people. Kindness overflowed, generosity became a priority, families came together, friendships were strengthened and rekindled, hugs are now tighter and more meaningful, and (for some) God has been found – all because of Izzy. For such a tiny person, she put life in perspective for everyone who was touched by her. This is her legacy.
The family would like to thank the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children’s staff of doctors, surgeons, nurses, perfusionists, respiratory therapists, and everyone else for their extraordinary care of Isabel. They are the unsung heroes of Izzy’s Village.
A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 27, 2017 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
The family requests that instead of traditional black mourning attire that those in attendance wear bright, happy colors in honor of Sweet Isabel.
