Jacob Samuel Jarman

Jacob S. Jarman, aged 19, of Greenwood Village, CO, died unexpectedly October 26th, in Oxford, OH. Jake spent the first 11 years of his life in Boulder and attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School, where he played hockey for Boulder Valley and football for N. Boulder Rec. Jake moved to the Denver area with his family in 2005 and was a student at St. Thomas More and, later, Regis Jesuit High School. An accomplished athlete, he played both football and baseball for Douglas County and Cherry Creek. As a high school student, he was a member of both the football and lacrosse teams. An avid skier, Jake was on both the Eldora Ski Team, as well as the Winter Park Free Ride Team. After graduation, Jake attended CU for one year, before transferring to Miami of OH, where he was studying business, English, and film. He was a happy, charismatic young man, with a 1000-watt smile and a passion for the mountains, skiing, and golf. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Bryan and Kathleen (nee Gruley) Jarman, his brother, Joe, his paternal grandparents, Barb Church and Bill Jarman, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary. Friends may visit Monday, November 4th, from 2 pm to 7 pm. The rosary will be said at 7 pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 am at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Foxfield, CO. Flowers are graciously accepted. For those wishing to contribute in another way, a fund has been established in Jake’s memory. Donations can be made to Regis Jesuit High School, 6400 S. Lewiston Way, Aurora, CO 80116. Please make checks payable to Regis Jesuit High School with “In memory of Jake Jarman” written in the memo line.

Friends and family may call at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary on Monday, November 4 from 2:00-7:00 where a Rosary will be said at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 5 at 11AM at Our Lady of Loreto Roman Catholic Parish in Foxfield, Colorado.
