

James (Jim) Russell Goodrich, Jr., 82 years old, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 in Englewood, CO. Jim was born February 21, 1938 in Denver, CO to James Russell Goodrich, Sr. and Zeta Delores (Height) Goodrich. He was the youngest of 2, his older sister Olive Ann (Goodrich) Hammond. With his first wife he had 3 daughters: Kiowan (Greg), Danelle (Mike), and Patrice (Ed). Married second wife Linda (Moseley) Goodrich in 1974 and just celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary they have 1 daughter: Carolyn (Joe). He had 6 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 1 great grandson, 3 great granddaughters, and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. He attended Denver Public Schools and Emily Griffith Opportunity School where he started his electrical career. He served in the US Navy where he was an electrician stationed on several aircraft carriers. He had the 4th oldest electrical license for the state of Colorado. He worked with his father in the family owned and operated Goodrich and Son electrical company, until his father’s passing. Where he then started Jim’s Electric before moving onto JE Sales and Service. He retired from self-employment and enjoyed more time to fly fish in the Colorado mountains. He was a 33rd degree mason in Paul Revere #130 and the Scottish Rite Consistory. He spent most of his life in Colorado with a little time in California during his time in the US Navy. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, enjoying fly fishing, hunting, camping, building multiple items out of wood or metal, he also enjoyed working on his cars, square dancing, cribbage, the Denver Broncos and cooking. He was always good for a joke or two, dedicated to his family and friends always willing to help them out. He was known for his vast knowledge and experience, and his kind heart. He is survived by his wife Linda, 4 daughters and sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Predeceased in death by this parents, grandparents, sister, brother-in-law, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He will be laid to rest on November 14, 2020 at Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery at 1pm, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. Services will be done by his fellow Masonic brothers.
