Jimmy is survived by his wife Donna, his sons Zachary (Stacy) and Tyler and two granddaughters Zayleah and Emiko as well as his mother Fukiko Irisawa, brother Roy Cannell (Motoko), nephew Edward and niece Tina Montes-Silva (Lester).
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Sidney Cannell and his sister Barbara Iguchi and brother-in-law Hiroshi Iguchi.
Jimmy was born in Hiroshima, Japan. He graduated from St. Mary’s International School, Tokyo and attended Denver University. Jimmy began his career as a mortgage loan officer in 1982. He advanced into Branch Manager at various mortgage companies in the Denver area. He retired in 2019 from Peoples Mortgage as Regional Vice President.
Jimmy loved his family, his friends and his life. Jimmy’s passion was golf, he spent many hours with his golfing buddies. He was fortunate to golf in Scotland and attend the Masters in Augusta, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd. A reception will follow.
