passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Porter Hospital from complications associated with diabetes.
Born October 25, 1977 on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, Jenny was adopted when she was two days old by her parents Jerry Jarrett and Brenda (formerly Jarrett) Madison. She attended schools in Highlands Ranch and Englewood, as well as St. Mary's Academy and Arapahoe Community College.
Jenny was a decorated swimmer growing up and was known to have a beautiful backstroke. In her younger years she was a member of Girl Scouts, played clarinet in school and loved music and movies. She grew up traveling with her dad for both fun and service, loved her parents and her sister Brandee, their large family get-togethers, game nights and holidays. Jenny, who preferred to go by Jen in her adult years, worked various customer facing and training roles and was well loved by coworkers. Always creative and imaginative, she grew to be a very talented writer who hoped to be published someday.
Most of all, Jenny loved her husband of 25 years Michael Anderson. They met in their teenage years, married when she was 18, moved to the states of Washington and Hawaii while Mike served in the Army, then returned to Colorado.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband Michael Anderson; her parents Jerry (Dianne) Jarrett, Brenda (Morris) Madison, and Fred Castle; her sister Brandee (Justin) Ebert; step siblings Eric Madison, Morgan (Rachel) Madison, Jaren Madison, Brian (Ryoko) Potts, Dave (Lara) Potts; and sweet nieces Hayden Potts and Emma Potts and dearest nephews, Leif Potts and Chris Potts. Jenny had many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and was particularly close to her cousin Sheleigh Mickle. We hope she is now hugging her brother Chad Jarrett in heaven.
Jenny was so loved by her family and friends and will always live in our hearts.
A graveside service for Jen will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11am. Guests may gather at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and process down to the graveside.
Donations may be made to the Native American Rights Fund
