Joan Bell Taigman

We celebrate the life of Joan (Jo) Bell Taigman, 85, of Littleton, Colorado, who passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. She was born January 7, 1933 in Bell Fourche, SD to Mary and Leslie Graham. She graduated high school as valedictorian and attended the University of Wyoming where she got a Psychology degree. She was hired by Martin Marietta Aerospace where she worked in Human Resources. There she met Leonard (Len) Taigman and they married in 1958. She left her job so she could be the best mom possible to her three children, Mike (Sascha Liebowitz)) Mariann (Ken Davenport) and Sue (Wayne Vandenberg). She had five grandsons, Ax, Ben, John, Dan, and Jason. She volunteered extensively, including more than 30 years at Children’s Hospital where Mike, Mariann and Sue all received excellent care.

She is preceded in death by her husband Len Taigman, her parents Mary and Leslie Graham, and her brother Bobby.

Jo was incredibly kind, accepted people for who they were, and showed genuine care and love. She taught us that it’s important we give what we can to the world. We will miss you Mom and will love you forever.

The family held a private service - there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Bank in your local area – this was one of Mom’s favorite charities.
