John Robert Stamper, 62 years of age, died suddenly on December 22, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Vina Sue Bishop Stamper and five siblings and their families. Born in Warren, Ohio, to Hugh and Berniece Stamper, he graduated from St. James Elementary School in 1963 and John F Kennedy High School in 1967. He attended the University of Akron, Ohio, and Kent State University. He proudly served in the U. S. Army including a tour in Viet Nam from which he earned a Bronze Star. After his first career in the insurance business, he received his Diploma from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris in 1991. He was the Owner and Pastry Chef at Full Measures Bakery in Denver for eight years. In retirement he volunteered with the Museum of Nature and Science and with Seniors Resource Center. John was a lover of food, art and travel. His passion was scuba diving.
