Julie Elizabeth Sobolik

Julie Elizabeth Sobolik (Johnson) Age 73 of Aurora, Colorado, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 26, 2021. Julie was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on November 14, 1947, to the late Alvera Helen Gray and Newman Lawrence Johnson. Julie is survived by her children Amy Sobolik-Brown (David), Curtis Sobolik (Ali), Mark Sobolik (Savannah) and her grandchildren Naya, Tristan, Aliyah, Taylor, Ella, Caleb, Braxton, Zachary, Victoria, Jamison and her Niece Michele (Nathan) as well as many loving friends! Julie married Dennis Sobolik in 1968 and they moved from North Dakota to Denver to pursue a skiing and drag racing career. She loved Colorado. She loved the leaves changing in the fall and the beautiful mountains. She served on many boards and was a leader in her church. She retired from United in 2002 and then worked for Dex. She became a minister and loved the Lord. Everyone she met was touched by her love. She had a heart of service and was a friend or mom to all who knew her.

The family asks that guests wear your favorite colors to embrace Julie's loves for colors. Casual church attire is recommended.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Julie's memory may be made to Elijah's Path to Healing Foundation, and Shepherds Heart Ministry. These two charities were chosen because Julie served on the board for both of these ministries and they were both near and dear to her heart.
