Lois A. Danna, born on July 20, 1937, in New Jersey, passed away on February 17, 2026, in Colorado at the age of 88. She was the beloved daughter of Katherine and George Lane and the eldest of three siblings, with her sisters Joan and Nancy. Lois was a resident of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Lois was a feisty and strong-willed woman who began her career as a dental hygienist before discovering her true passion as a corrections officer, a role she held for over 25 years. She was a pioneer in her industry, breaking through the glass ceiling and advocating for equal pay, and she would light up whenever she spoke about her work.
At the age of 19, Lois moved to New York, where she met and married the love of her life, Paul F. Danna. Together, they built a loving family, welcoming their daughter Cindyanne a year after their marriage, followed by Elizabeth and their son Paul Lane. Cindyanne continued the legacy by having a son, Robert, who blessed Lois with two great-grandchildren, Braden and Cade. Paul and Traci have three children: Vienna, Milana, and Paul Landan.
Lois had a passion for shopping, often paving many miles in the mall before the advent of home shopping. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, and spending time with her best friend, Phyllis. Lois had a special love for dogs, particularly her cherished Roux, whom she pampered with his favorite breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast points.
Tough as nails yet appreciative of the finer things in life, Lois had a fondness for fine china and Lladro figurines. A foodie ahead of her time, she relished spaghetti and meatballs, steak, and indulged in Nathan's hot dogs and Friendly's sundaes. She enjoyed winding down with a nice cup of tea and a slice of Entenmann's cake.
Lois A. Danna leaves behind a legacy of strength and love, cherished by her surviving family members, including her daughter Elizabeth Danna (Benny Rodriguez), her son Paul Lane Danna (Traci), her grandchildren Robert P Felberg (Alaina), Vienna Danna, Milana Danna, and Paul Landan Danna, and her great-grandchildren Braden Felberg and Cade Felberg. She also leaves behind her sister Nancy Lane.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul F. Danna, her daughter Cindyanne Schanowski, her son-in-law Bob Schanowski, and her sister Joan Bauer.
