Lois S. Prichard

Lois Schneider Prichard was born on March 28, 1922 in Goose Creek, TX to George B. and Vera M. Schneider. She passed away peacefully in Aurora, CO on April 24, 2014. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother of three children. She married Richard L. Prichard, Jr. on September 13, 1947 at the United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Lois received an Associates degree at Stephens College in Columbia, MO followed by her Bachelors degree from the University of Houston. She moved with her family from Houston to Tulsa, OK in 1961 and then on to Denver in 1965. In 1968 the family relocated to New Orleans, LA where they lived for 38 years. Following Hurricane Katrina in 2006, Dick and Lois moved back to Denver to join their children.

Throughout her active life, Lois was an avid golfer and club champion at Timberlane Country Club in New Orleans. She also enjoyed skiing, tennis, and fishing. One of her favorite places to visit was Galveston, Texas where she spent her honeymoon and many summers enjoying her family. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Harold J. Schneider, Jack H. Schneider, and Joyce Schneider Ouellette. She is survived by her husband Dick and her children, Richard L. Prichard and wife Donna, Stephen C. Prichard and wife Mary, and Kathleen J. Prichard and husband Robert Heid along with 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Centennial, CO. Visitation will be from 12-2, followed by the service and reception.
