Great memories of working with Mike and Lorrie at Sea Galley so many years ago.  Mike was so smart and a keen observer of all things.  His quick wit made me laugh and made me think.  So sorry to learn of this loss.  My sincere condolences to Lorrie, his daughters and all their family and friends.  

The service  so very fitting for Mike.  Thank you all for loving  Mike,  He will be missed so much.  Love and Light to the family.

We first met Michael and Lorrie when they lived next door to us on Grape St in Denver. We all hit it off immediately . We spent many years celebrating birthdays, special occasions.  What sticks out the most was Michael giving our new puppy Bubba beer so Bubba wouldn't bark at him. It worked. Michael was the only one not in our  immediate family that could get close to Bubba.

We have known Mike for many years and enjoyed being with him any time we got to see him.  I will be attending the memorial today but the rest of the Hopes are out of town, or they would be there, too.  Mike was full of life and good humor.  I remember sharing many fun pot luck meals with him, and enjoyed being invited into his home with his family and family of animals, too!   I will so miss him being  in this world and my prayers are with his wonderful family.  

Michael was such a funny and big-hearted man. I loved his matter-of-fact storytelling and oddball sense of humor. He was a great cook and an amazing brewer.  I send my love and condolences to his wife Lorrie, his daughters Emma and Hannah; to his brothers Tim and Steve, and his loving parents,  Derroll and Carol.  To all his colleagues, friends, neighbors, and extended family: let's raise a crisp, cold pilsner in his honor! May his memory be a blessing.

Deeply saddened to receive a letter with the news of Michael's passing.  I met him at UCD when we had general chemistry together.  I immediately looked up to him because he was smarter than me and he had a wit about him that I instantly liked.    We became good friends on an off campus and he agreed to stand with me on our wedding day in 1992.   I will always remember that time and remember it fondly.

Michael was a memorable part of the Rock Hoppers Brew Club family. We all loved his sense of humor and amazing brewing knowledge. I can vividly remember his presentation on water chemistry several years back as one of the most insightful and enlightening home brewing experiences of my lifetime. My thoughts are with his family and hope that he's made as much of an impression on others as he did on me. 

Michael's amazing tomato crop is what comes to mind when I think of him. Cultivated with care and shared with delight, much the way he lived his life. I knew him only a short while when I worked at the Golden lab but I will always remember him with a smile in my heart and an appreciation for his sense of humor, curiosity and perspective.

Michael was more than just a coworker, he was a dear dear friend. I am so thankful for the time I had him in my life. Michael had a kind soul and you could always count on him to bring humor and levity to any situation. He will be dearly missed. While, I am glad he is no longer in pain, my heart hurts for the Bade family and everyone who's life he touched. The world is a bit dimmer without him here. 

Michael was so fun to talk to and be around at work.  When he worked in Golden the EPA Lab staff used to pick up trash along the road near the lab.  We would have contests to see who could find the weirdest items. One time we found a rubber chicken,  it was hilarious!  Very nice individual who will be greatly missed.  Sincere thoughts and prayers to his family for their loss. 


Deepest Sympathy to Michael's Family....I will forever have memories of those 3 boys, Michael, Stevie and Timmy and their constant menagerie of pets., mice, etc. and Michael being the ringleader of crazy fun! You will be missed Dear cousin.

We can't begin to know what you have all been through but we also know you have wonderful memories of the  love and life you shared.  Wishing we could ease the loss and help in some way.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I hope you all find comfort in all of the special memories you have of Michael.  As long as you hold on to those, he will never be far away.

The three Bade boys and the three Faron girls, I am sure there was much mischief to be had when we were together.

To Michaels Family,

I am so sorry for your loss and I know that Mike is no longer in pain, but that doesn't make your pain any easier.  My memories are filled with many adventures and a couple of snakes.  I am so blessed to have had him as my cousin and even more blessed that he was close by so we spent many holidays and other celebrations together growing up.

He is smiling down upon all of you and you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. They say memories are the legacy of love and we know you have a plenty.  We shall never forget his kind smile and patience when we were all shifting thru old family photos and all talking at once.

Uncle Michael will be missed but never forgotten. He touched our lives in so many ways! He will always be my older brother.
