Michael E Lejon

Febuary 17th 1952 Berthoud, Colorado ~ September 4th 2022 Aurora, Colorado

Michael is a man that could never be described simply, nor briefly. His life was filled to the brim in all aspects with adventures and love. His accomplishments were so numerous it would take a novel to do him proper justice.

From an astounding dancer with the Colorado Ballet, hair stylist, makeup artist ranging everywhere from beautiful highlights, proms, weddings, to Miss Colorado, Miss America and fitness Pageants, to national and international photography and media.

He is survived by his brother, best friend and hunting partner of 25 years Tom, his sisters Liz, Patricia, Phyllis abd Shirley and predeceased by his beloved sister, Carolyn.

His natural desire to give and protect others was also met in his time as a volunteer Fireman, and many other incredible careers.

He was always the sharpest dressed in the room easily charming anyone who met him. Always ready with a good, albeit cheesy, joke.

A natural entertainer, he could rock a drum set, then stand up and sing fantastic karaoke.

His greatest calling was becoming an adoptive father, Grandfather, and last year, a Great Grandfather.

His well of generosity and love never ran dry and it takes someone truly special to make a toddler giggle, then years later get that now angsty teenager to still giggle.

He was their only grandparent but he gave enough love for a dozen grandparents.

Everyday was filled with love, warmth, graciousness, laughter, gratitude, and a lot of dog snuggles.

My best friend, trusted confidant, and a father I so desperately needed.

His nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family all knew Michael as the the one they could always turn to.

The world is a darker place without our Michael, to say he is missed cannot possibly account for this tremendous loss.

May he be surrounded by the angels, as already was one on earth.

Now God holds him close, as a mighty warrior of goodness.
