

Mike was born in New.Orleans, LA the third child of Luke Wade and Dorothy Cobb. Mike's early
childhood was in New Orleans, LA, Morgan City, LA and Beaumont, TX surrounded by his
Aunts, Uncles, Siblings and Cousins.. Mike attended school in New Orleans, Beaumont and
Houston, graduating from Sam Barthe High School in 1974. As a child, Mike’s summer
vacations were spent with his family at the family cabin in Colorado and enjoying family camping
trips. Mike learned rock climbing, enjoyed hiking, hunting for crystals and developed a love for
the Colorado mountains along with his siblings, Linda and David and cousins, Sharon, Susan,
Jim, Doug, Gary and Greg. A favorite trip of Mike’s was a multi-day hike on the John Muir Trail
in California with uncles, brother and cousins. After high school, Mike made Colorado his
permanent home. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering. Mike moved to the Denver area, where he met his future wife, Jan Price.
Mike and Jan worked at his business designing and building computer parts in the early days of
the Personal Computer. An avid film buff, Mike also enjoyed filming movies and
commercials,videotaping kids activities and still photography. He also enjoyed Scuba Diving
and Skiing. Mike had a passion for space and flying. He earned his Private Pilot Certificate in
his Cessna 150.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Luke Hampton Wade, his step-father Prosper (Pat)
Tesson and mother, Dorothy (Dot) Cobb Wade Tesson.
Mike is survived by his wife, Janet (Jan) Price Wade, of Centennial, Colorado, her children,
John Winslow (Stormy), Jay Winslow (Jeni), Ginny Weigleb (Daniel), Daniel Winslow (Leticia),
Julie Bonomo (James). His siblings, Linda Humphries (Bryan) and David Wade, of Conroe,
Texas, Nephews, Great Nieces, Cousins and Step-Grandchildren.
Michael Alan Wade was a gentle soul.
