Our precious Angel here on earth, Mya Ava-Lyn Peña left her earthly home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in Denver, CO. Mya was welcomed into the world on May 6, 2002, by her mom, Audra Peña, her Aunt Mandy, her elder sister Lexi, and her grandparents Andrew and Darlene Peña.
Mya’s radiant smile lit up the lives of all the people she encountered. Her tender heart reached toddlers to the elderly. She never backed down from a challenge whether it be taking care of others or some type of physical activity. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious. She along with cousins and friends enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, dancing and gymnastics. Her favorite spot was lying on the couch on her mama’s lap while Mama ran her fingers through Mya’s hair.
Mya is remembered for her beautiful alto voice, her athletic talent especially on the soccer field, playing tricks on Grandma and Papa, and she loved to snuggle up in a blanket next to a family member or in front of the fire. She was an amazing cheerleader, self-taught gymnast and could not give up her cheer gear.
Mya is survived by her mom, and sister from their Denver home, grandparents and aunt from Vail, three additional sisters from Denver, great-aunts and great-uncles and a multitude of cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 11:00 am - 1:00 for viewing and 1:30 pm service at Life Source Adventist Fellowship Seventh Day Adventist Church (6200 W. Hampden Denver, CO. 80227)
