Richard “Dick” Broadus Billeisen, 87, passed away on February 27, 2026, just days after celebrating his 87th birthday. Born on February 13, 1939, to Edyth and William Billeisen, Dick lived a life defined by devotion to family, friendship, and a passion for adventure.
Dick grew up alongside his brother, Steve Billeisen, and his sister, Betty Billeisen (Baker). He was a proud uncle to Steve’s children—Lori, Scott, Wade, Ward, and Lacy—and to Betty’s children, Terri and Lynda. Family connections remained important to him throughout his life.
On September 17, 1966, Dick married the love of his life, Lois Jean (Roth) Billeisen. Together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage built on commitment, laughter, and unwavering partnership. They raised three children: Julie; Greg and his wife Shannon Billeisen, and their son Sam Billeisen; and Jennifer Keyser, and her children Ben and Emma. Dick was a proud father and grandfather who took great joy in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives and accomplishments.
Dick believed life was meant to be lived fully. He loved football and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams and discussing the game with family and friends. He embraced the outdoors, spending summers golfing, camping, motorcycling, sailing, and winters skiing. Vacations, road trips, and time at the lake created lasting memories for his family. In quieter moments, Dick enjoyed building model trains and taking on creative projects around the house. One of his favorite undertakings was remodeling the family basement into an English-style bar. He also cherished time with friends, never passing up an opportunity for good conversation, laughter, and celebration.
Dick will be remembered for his energy, his love of fun, and his dedication to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the traditions he created the adventures he inspired, and the strong family he helped build.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Jean; his children and grandchildren; his siblings; and many extended family members and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
