Richard Ford Flagg (Dick) age 82 of Littleton, CO passed away September 25, 2021 in Littleton, CO. He was born on April 21, 1939 in Nashua, NH to Frank Flagg and Priscilla Moss Flagg. He has one sister, Sally Flagg, of Tamworth, NH. Dick attended University of Denver on a track and field scholarship, was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, and also played the guitar in the Fogcutters band. He married Patricia Ann Littrell on November 9, 1962 in Denver, CO.
Dick was a quiet and insightful man, a college athlete, a musician and singer, an animal lover, and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was always fixing something and could usually be found in his garage working on a project. He was a wood craftsman and made beautiful pieces of furniture and accessories over the years. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time on the water. From 1962-2001 he was a food service director at several colleges and country clubs in the midwest.
Dick was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1974 and in spite of several difficult episodes over the years, he always remained positive and never allowed the disease to be anything more than an "inconvenience" in his life. He never let it dampen his wonderful sense of humor.
Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years Pat, son Mike (Kathy), daughter Molly, granddaughters Abbi and Elli, sister Sally, nephew Aaron, and niece Jennifer. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Priscilla Flagg, and several dearly loved pets.
Services will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd. Centennial, CO. A reception will be held at the same location at 3 pm.
