

August 1, 2025 in his most favorite place, Denver, Colorado. He was born to Royal Lewis Campbell (who passed in 1934) and Elaine Harris Campbell. His mother, Elaine married Glen B. Gunderson in 1940 and Dick was adopted by his loving father, Glen, prior to Dick's naval service during the Korean Conflict. Dick lived in Salt Lake City until August of 1959 when he and his new wife, Marilyn Dee Hadfield Gunderson moved to Denver, Colorado to begin their new life together. Dick received his education in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School and the University of Utah with a B.A in Marketing and Advertising in 1958. His career began as V.P of marketing for National Beverage Co in Denver and later moved to his true ambition, creating and marketing of securities, principally municipal bonds. He was elected President and Chairman of the Colorado Municipal Bond Dealers Association and devoted many years as a volunteer to this industry work. Dick attended the New York Institute of Finance and was registered NYSE in June of 1962. During his working life he was employed by several NYSE firms in Denver and enjoyed the friendship of many great and wonderful people in the business. He concluded his lifetime career at Isaak Bond Investments and worked until the time of his passing.
Dick was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints (Mormon) and among other varied callings throughout his life, served twice as Bishop and as a member of the Denver Stake Presidency, devoting many hours of service to others in and out of the church. What great friends he enjoyed in the membership of the church. He was a long time member of the Colorado Mormon Choral, a 90 mixed voice choral group. He loved all racquet sports, baseball, skiing, singing and sometimes golf. His psychiatrist told him that he was too immature to play golf.
He is survived by his loving wife; Marilyn of Denver, Colorado, Daughters; Alicia Gunderson, Andrea Sommer, Grandchildren; Kyler Sommer (Kendall), Ashten Sommer, Taylor Sommer and Gabriela Sommer and great granddaughter Murphy.
