Richard Conrad Nies

Richard Conrad Nies passed away on Aug 26, 2018 after complications from a fall. He was a proud US Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. After leaving the military, Richard worked in the Aerospace Industry for Lockheed Martin, where he later retired. He was employed as a Vehicle Lead, playing an integral role on the Viking 1 & 2 Mars Landers. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janet; his son, Richard Jr. (Patricia); his grandsons, Jeremy (Jessica), Tyler, and Jace; his granddaughter, Leslie; step-granddaughters, Heather (James) and Amanda; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. A Memorial Service will be held on Sep 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, Centennial.
