

Robert Lee Clevenger, age 78, passed away on November 9, 2014, while traveling in California. He was born on July 6, 1936 in Greeley, CO to Lee and Ruth (Wales) Clevenger. Bob graduated from Greeley Central High School and went on to graduate from the University of Colorado with a degree in Civil Engineering. He also attended the Harvard University John F Kennedy School of Government. He was an engineer for the Colorado Department of Transportation for 36 years during which time he served as Chief Engineer for Colorado for 11 years. After retiring from CDOT, he was employed by AECOM for 14 years.
On February 16, 1957, Bob married Barbara Ann Bowling. He and Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a dedicated busband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; daughters Michele (Keith McElreath) and Pamela (Mike Camp); and sons, Jeffrey (Doreen Clevenger) and Steve (Katheleen Clevenger); and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his youngest daughter Mary (Dana Gemmingen), and parents Lee and Ruth (Wales) Clevenger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (8035 South Quebec Street, Centennial, CO 80112) on November 21, 2014 at 2:00PM. The family will greet friends following Mass at The Village Club, 4601 East Belleview Avenue, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80121 beginning at 3:30PM.
