Roger worked for Ciry Park Dairy and Meadow Gold Dairy for 28 years and loved being a deliveryman. When he retired in his early sixties, he continued working as a handyman for a senior citizen organization. He fixed things around the house for individuals who could not afford to pay someone else to do it. Roger was a long-time member of Bear Valley Church, where he was an usher for many years. He loved working and enjoying the outdoors, including taking an extended trip in the wilderness of Alaska with a friend.
Roger is survived by Vera, his loving wife of 64 years; his sons Steve and wife Cheryl of Petaluma, California and Denny and wife Peggy of Memphis, Tennessee; his grandchildren Chad, Colby and Nicole of California; Tommy, Rachel, Jacob and Leah of Tennessee; his brother Harold of San Diego, California; he is predeceased by his brother Gilbert.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bear Valley Church, 10001 West Jewell Avenue, on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
