Hendricks, Roger Jay 4/7/1926 – 12/26/2022, age 96 of Centennial, CO, formerly of Grand Rapids, MI was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 26, 2022. Roger was born on April 7, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan, his son Timothy, his wife Betty, his brothers Allen and Gordon, and his sister Arlene Davis. Surviving are his sister Doris (Abe) Marcus, his beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Hendricks, Judy (Russ) DenBraber, and Mary (Jeff) Vander Galien, his precious grandchildren Jack Bloem, Scott (Elizabeth) Bloem, Rosanne Bloem, Kyle Bloem, Aaron Bloem, Eric (Stephanie) DenBraber, Melanie (Luke) Egolf, Lisa DenBraber, Christine DenBraber (Charlie Carroll), Melissa (Robert) Lawrence, Beth (Matthew) Zoller, 13 precious great grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Roger was a long time member of Alger Park Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids until he moved to the Denver area 5 years ago where he joined First Christian Reformed Church of Denver. He graduated from Calvin College and the University of Michigan in 1950 with a degree in engineering and spent his working career in manufacturing at Rowe International in Grand Rapids. In retirement years, Roger lovingly cared for his wife who lived with Alzheimer’s Disease for 20 years, enjoyed various volunteer activities, and enjoyed the communities at Holland Home Raybrook Campus in Grand Rapids, and Someren Glen Continuing Care Community, a neighborhood of the Christian Living Communities in Centennial, CO.
