Ronald Allen Batt was born and raised in Colorado. He grew up in Arvada and was the second oldest of four children. Throughout his childhood and young adult life, he found great joy in learning how things work, loved sports - including softball and track, and eventually pursued a career as an art teacher. Ron met Renae in a church youth group at Peace Lutheran Church, and the two married on June 28th, 1986.
Ron taught Junior High and High School Students for over 25 years. He was gifted at helping students bring out their creative side and encouraging them to share their gifts and talents with others.
As the years went on, Ron and Renae had two daughters, Randi and Richelle (Rikki). The family had so much fun together and especially loved going on road trips over the summers. They explored many sights from Mt. Rushmore, to lakes in Minnesota, to the beaches in California and Hawaii.
Ron had an eye for design, and it spilled over into every aspect of his life. He loved classic cars and owned one of his own, a 1956 Ford truck, which he loved to spend time fixing and upgrading. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding on his street-legal dirt bike. He was always up for going to car shows, art shows, hiking with family, and a good home improvement project. Over the past few years, he picked up ultimate frisbee, golf, and pickleball and had so much fun playing these with family and friends.
Ron was a family man, devoted to his wife and children in every way. When Renae began her long journey fighting cancer, Ron was there supporting her every step of the way. This included many 14er hiking and mountain biking adventures. He loved her deeply and sacrificially, putting her needs and interests ahead of his own and caring for her faithfully until the very end. He showed this same love and commitment to his daughters, frequently traveling across the country to visit Rikki and her family and getting together weekly with Randi. Ron also found great joy in sitting on the floor and playing with his two young granddaughters, Neleya and Camila.
Ron was a man who was truly committed to his family and would do whatever he could to support them. His was a quiet encourager, a creative problem solver, had a great sense of humor, and was fiercely dependable. He was an incredible son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Ron is survived by his daughters: Randi Oliver and Richelle Reynoso; and his two granddaughters: Neleya and Camila Reynoso, with another granddaughter on the way.
