I met Sandy in 1960, we were both Navy Waves in Photo school, Pensacola, FL Later,we were stationed together in Washington, DC. Sandy was our maid of honor at our wedding in Washington, DC 1961. We have kept in touch all these years.  One memory was when she worked in photo lab with Chief.  He and the Captain would have their weekly "raw Oysters" Sandy would come to my department because she couldn't tolerate watching them eat raw oysters, we would talk and laugh. We were both involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Chief took our wedding photos and she printed them and gave us a beautiful album.  I could go on, but must stop, difficult to type with tears.  Linda, I know this is a difficult time.  You and your family are in my prayers. I know Sandy and Melvin are watching over us.  We will all meet again.  God Bless You All.   Love you, Shirley

Sandy was a special lady--she will be greatly missed.  I will miss seeing her smiling face.

I worked with Sandy for 17 years and had a wonderful time with her at work.  She loved sharing the various phone calls she received and I loved hearing about them.  Sandy, you are so missed.

I truly regret being unable to attend on Saturday, I did not know Sandy for a long time, but the years I spent with her as her 'cubie mate' were some of my happiest memories of my time at district court. Sandy was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful people inside and out that the world has ever known and I am truly blessed by the Lord to have known her.  I grieve at her passing and feel a warm and happy light has gone out on earth but Heaven is a far brighter and richer place with her by the Lord's side.  To my eyes and heart Sandy was one of his angels who walk among us.

Sandy shared a quiet kindness with me that I will always be grateful for.  She had been there longer than I had and with the years we shared together it is difficult to pick out just one happy memory; there are entirely too many.  She always had a smile on her face and something optimistic to say.  I feel very fortunate to have called her my friend.

Sandy was one of a kind, some of her interaction with the public on the phone will forever make me laugh. My heart hurts that she has left. I hope she knows she added so much to my life the eight years we worked together. To her family I hope it will give a little comfort to know that she meant alot to a large number of people who she came in contact with. I will miss her rumage sales and kind gifts, as a matter of fact I am wearing one a jacket that she gave over 8 years ago. I am so sorry I did not get to visit her before she had to leave. She was a hoot and will forever be in my heart, I am honored that she was in my life for a short time.

Sandy and I started working in District Court about the same time.  My children and I enjoyed lunches with Sandy.  She will be missed as she was one of a kind.  
We shared many laughs.

It was with deep sorrow that I learned of Sandy's passing; my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this sad time.  I first met Sandy about fifteen years ago when I started working at the courthouse.  Sandy welcomed me and took me under her wing and I have enjoyed my friendship with her ever since.  She is a dear soul whose genuine good-heartedness made her a delight to be around.   Her wonderful sense of humor could (and did) lighten both good and bad days.  Her cheerful outlook on life and her upbeat attitude, even in the face of her trials,  stirred admiration and respect, and a hope that one could conduct themselves with equal grace under similar circumstances.   Her  passing will leave a void in many lives; I will miss my interactions with her, but I will have many happy memories to reflect upon and be grateful for. I am truly grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to have shared what seemed to be a brief moment in time with Sandy.  During that time I found her to be a loving and caring individual. She will be truly missed. My payers and condolences go out to her family.

Sandy was always the most friendly, kind, and thoughtful person that i had the pleasure to know and the honor to be working with.  She always had a smile on her face and determination in her step.  I always would chuckle when she would come ask me for help with the Microfilm machine because that thing always seemed to give her a hard time.   Please accept my sincerest apologies, and know that she was such a wonderful person.

Sandy was my friend--she had a warm heart and an honest soul.  I enjoyed our lunches and dinners together, talking about anything and everything.  I'll always remember her with affection.

I am so blessed to have known Sandy.  She was the most amazing person I have ever known.  I am honored to have been able to work with her for 17 years and even more honored to call her a friend.  She was always looking out for the best for other people, putting herself aside.  Sandy, we love you and will always be thinking of you and you will be forever missed.

I have worked with Sandy for the past 27 years.  She was a woman of integrity.  She always said what was on her mind and there was no doubt about what she meant.
