Born in Saint Louis, Missouri, Sara was the beloved daughter of Richard (Dick) and Robin Marrone. From a young age, she embraced life with energy and enthusiasm, developing a deep love for sports—playing soccer, volleyball, and softball throughout her youth. Her compassion extended to all living things, especially animals. She deeply valued the people in her life who became like family.
Sara graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 2004 and went on to earn a degree in primary and secondary education from the University of Missouri. She later achieved her Master of Education at the University of Northern Iowa. Sara spent ten years as a dedicated educator and was honored to be named the State of Missouri Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year—an award that reflected her passion for inspiring students.
After her time in the classroom, Sara transitioned into the business world with the same drive and heart she brought to education. Most recently, she served as a Go To Market Operations Manager at Propeller Aero—a role she loved deeply and described as her dream job. She was proud of the work she accomplished and the relationships she built there.
Sara was an avid traveler who found joy and adventure in exploring the world. She visited Italy, Africa, Hawaii, New Zealand, Bali, Thailand, Peru, Greece, and many other beautiful places, creating memories she cherished.
In 2022, Sara married the love of her life, Steve, in Denver, Colorado. Together, they shared a deep love for the outdoors, travel, and time spent with friends. Their greatest joy came with the birth of their son, Henry, who is now two years old. Henry was the center of Sara’s world, and she embraced motherhood with unwavering love, patience, and devotion. She was an incredible mom—kind, nurturing, and full of joy.
Sara's life was also enriched by her close relationships with her family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and especially Amanda, whom she loved like a sister. Her dogs, Franny and Archie, were also beloved members of the family, and her home was filled with love, laughter, houseplants, and card games.
Sara is survived by her husband, Steve; her son, Henry; her parents, Robin and Dick; her mother-in-law, Debbie; her father-in-law, Pete; her sister-in-law, Raechel; her dogs, Frannie and Archie; her extended family and many friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in passing by her grandparents: Betty, Ella, and Samuel.
Sara will be remembered for her kindness, her warm and adventurous spirit, her deep love for her family, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she knew.
