Sharon Lynn McKay

Sharon Lynn McKay was born on July 13, 1947, to Emma and Mike Norden in Denver, Colorado. Sharon was 1 of 5 children. On July 12, 1968, Sharon married Richard J. (Dick) McKay. They spent their whole lives in the Denver metro area where they raised 2 children, James S. McKay and Gayle L. McKay.

Sharon worked in her early married years as a PBX Interlink communication agent. Sharon left the working world to be a stay-at-home wife and caregiver of her grandchildren, whom were a very important part of her life. When Sharon was not enjoying time with her family and grandchildren, she spent her time tending to her beautiful, prized orchids, creating amazing stained glass mosaic pieces and painting many charming pictures from landscapes to abstract canvas.

Sharon is survived by her children James S. McKay and Gayle L McKay, her sister Michele DeVries, and brother Buck Norden, along with 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard “Dick” McKay, her brother Dennis Norden and sister Denise Norden.

Sharon will be laid to final rest at Fort Logan Cemetery next to her husband.

A celebration of life for Sharon will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
