Born in New Prague, Minnesota to Edwin and Adelaide Rynda, Rosie passed away peacefully in the caring hands of the Holly Creek staff with the excellent assistance of Honor Hospice. Shirley was a proud Tri-Delt, an accomplished bridge player, a long-time parishioner at St. Thomas More and a member of Columbine Country Club for more than 30 years. She was generally a fine cook with the notable exceptions of “tuna Schooners” and tomato aspic.
Shirley joined her beloved husband John D. “Jack” Woodward in Heaven. She is survived by her sons, John (Kathy), Chuck (Jan), Tony (Brenda), Bill (Laura), nine wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec Street, Centennial, CO 80112, Tuesday, September 1 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow at Venice Restaurant, Orchard and Holly, Greenwood Village. In lieu of flowers please support the Employee Appreciation Fund at Holly Creek or Honor Hospice.
