To my Precious Aunt Violet,
There are no words to express how much I Love You...I remember the trips I took with you, mom, Jan and Jay to Missouri. Those are wonderful memories I will never forget. I remember all those family dinner’s grandma, you & my mom had, always keeping our family together at the Holidays. All our dinners were prepared with love & homemade delicious food, (Noodles, homemade rolls, pies, I could go on & on). Oh, the wonderful memories of getting together with ALL the family to freeze corn & can beans at Grandma Norton home. I remember you warning J.R., Jay & I if we didn't stop eating the rhubarb we were going to be sick! Even on those busy canning days grandma, you & mom cooked us the best dinners ever. Ummm the smell of grandma's sour dough bread!!!
 You were always concerned about my health, & my family's. You were one of the best, "Prayer Warriors" of our family. I always knew you were praying for me and ALL of your family... I will never forget the near daily phone calls to me to check on my mom & to see how I was feeling. You were always concerned about others! You and mom were so concerned with our family's spiritual life. You did all you could to see that we would all make it to Heaven...to see you again one day. I will never forget Jan taking the time to take you to see my mom in the hospital, and Assisted Living. You visited every few days & would bring a little gift to lift her spirits. Jan brought you to our home to be by our mother’s side as she was passing on to heaven...You sat by her side holding & gently stroking her hands & whispering in her ear. We sang Hymns to her as she was passing on to Heaven.
I'll never forget the day I visited you in your last few days of life, & Jan & I sang to you your favorite Hymns. Jan couldn’t resist kissing your sweet soft face. I had the privilege being with your immediate family to be there when you entered the gates of heaven… I miss you so… Your one of the best aunts in the world! I am so blessed to have you in my life! I love you…

Mom, I can't begin to tell you how much I miss you - our weekly trips to the hairdresser, then to Wal Mart and our stops at Lamars for coffee & donuts before we continued our errands.  Miss our hugs and more recently, singing the old hymns together-you still remembered the words; talking about our verses & what they meant to us.  I know you're having a great time with Jesus and your family and how many others!  I'm so looking forward to seeing you again.  Love you so much.  Jan

To my grandma, I was thinking about you this morning. I will nedver forget the love you had for all of us. You always loved us enough to try an keep everyone together. From our week end sleep overs, to taking us to LAKESIDE, to always making our favorite ..NOODLES!! whenever we asked. I love you and know you are making those darn noodles for everyone in Heaven now :) Wow,they are some lucky people to get grandma's noodles.

There once was a time when I felt out of place, like I didn’t belong. But that changed when my Great Grandma received a rose form one of her grandsons. And that rose was such a great gift, that she smiled so big. At that moment I knew I Did belong! As the years went on we got older and I got worse. She never gave up because that rose still stood proud in a vase where she could see it every day. That rose symbolized the love for a grandson that was always struggling. But Violet Delinger never gave up! She loved that rose even when she was getting ready for God’s house. She knew I was there when her last breaths came for that rose was there and that rose was a piece of me. For now she is gone but one day we will meet again. But not yet, not yet. Goodbye Great Grandma. I love you and I’ll never forget. You great grandson Jordan.

Dear Violet, I will miss your smiles and the spark in your eyes.  Thanks for all the trivia answers you shared with us. You were such a blessing to us all.  Be at peace.

Grandma words can not express my love for you! I remember the sleep overs, the homemade caramel corn, the Lawrence Welk show, the yellow Monte Carlo - you were stylin with 4 or 5 grand kids in the car passing out juicy fruit gum while driving to church! There are so many memories I don't have room to write them all down here - please give my Jeffro a hug and stay with him until we all meet again in heaven. Love, hugs and kisses, Amy.

Grandma, You were such an inspiration and a blessing to others. I am so blessed to have known you and to have you in my life. You will be missed. Heaven is a little more complete with you there. Save me a spot!
