

Paul F. Schneider, 76, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Middletown, Connecticut. Born on September 18, 1948, Paul grew up in New Hyde Park, New York. Paul lived a life marked by compassion, intellect, and enduring connections.
He was predeceased by his beloved wives Barbara Louise Schneider and Patricia Mendolia Schneider. Paul's dancing with each of them brought great joy both to them and to everyone around them. Their memories remained close to Paul's heart.
Family was central to Paul's life. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Lee Schneider and sister-in-law Stephanie Schneider; his brother Don Schneider and sister-in-law Pam Schneider; sister-in-law Linda Pepe; stepchildren Julie, Jacob, Dylan, and Emily Drazen; and all their families.
A proud graduate of Colgate University, Paul earned his bachelor's degree while playing both lacrosse and rugby — sports that reflected his spirited nature and love for teamwork. His passion for physical activity continued throughout his life; he remained an avid runner and enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball well into his later years.
Professionally, Paul dedicated himself to helping others as a rehabilitation counselor at Zucker Hillside Hospital on Long Island. His work was a testament to his thoughtful and caring disposition.
A devoted sports fan, he followed hockey, soccer, and baseball with enthusiasm. He loved the outdoors and walking on the beach. He was also known for being well-read and intellectually curious. He had a great love of animals - walking and playing with his dogs were among his favorite things.
Paul was a generous soul—a patient listener, a loving brother, a wonderful husband, and a great friend who maintained lifelong bonds with friends from high school and college.
