Rip 75 brother . May your soul rest in peace.

I met Devin at Northport va a few yrs ago as soon as a saw him I knew we’d be good friends Devin is one of my best dearest friends from the va he truly cared and was funny I’m sure he was an excellent marine I know he was a great cop my father is retired nypd I was nyc sanitation but lost my job cause the city found out in on medication through the va I lived his dog Stella for yrs I would refuse to take my meds and Devin would always speak with me and try to convince me to take them ever since his passing whenever I don’t feel like taking the meds I think of him and I take them I went to his wake and met his wonderful family his uncle gave me his mass cards so I’m going to get his birthday and the date he past away on my arm I think about Devin everyday multiple times a day I’m in pain I’m hurting I’m just lucky I got to know Devin the way I did he’s gonna be on my mind and in my heart for eternity last time I saw him at the va I told him I love him and he said I love you too rob that’s the last time we saw each other I’ll always love you Devin I know you’ll always be with me god bless you and your family

Devin was an amazing friend with a good heart who cared about the people close to him. In ways, he was like a big brother who always had advice to give you or a funny joke to deflect if he didn’t. He was the first friend I took on in a long time and I’m really going to miss him. He gave me a lot of pointers on my marriage and he showed me what unconditional friendship truly looked like. The last time him and I hung out was the nicest time I had with him and I’m fortunate to have had that time. 

I’m going to miss you, dude. 



Devin was such a nice young man.  We send our deepest sympathy to all of his family.  We feel cheated that we didn’t get to know him long enough .  My husband said Devin was always so respectful, he always called my retired NYPD PO husband Sir.   We will really miss him.

My deepest condolences to my daughter in law Cait O'Reilly Gralla, her husband and my son Michael Gralla and to Ann and Dennis O'Reilly and family.
Although I only met Devin once or twice, he was a man of honor and integrity.  I am sure coping with his passing is extremely difficult, however I hope and pray for peace for you during this difficult time. 
May his memory be a blessing to all that knew him.

When I first met you in QVS we hit it off right away.  Just 2 jar heads telling stories, understanding each other like we were in “it” together.  You are a good man my friend. You will be missed.

My heart is hurting for your loss. 
My son, Hunter and Devin were friends and I remember many times I would wake up to a house full of boys who played pool in my house and had a good time.
  I have a picture, when I find it, I will share with you of Hunter and Devin going out one night dressed in costumes and it wasn’t anywhere close to Halloween.

I know my son met him at the gates of Heaven with those costumes.

Ann & Dennis, I am so sorry for your loss.  He will be remembered today and always.  For me it will be as the slightly older cool teenager I aspired to be then, and the veteran who selflessly served that I admire today, and always. Condolences to you and your family, anyone who met him is sharing in your sadness.

ack when I was at one of the lowest point of my life Devin decided to check in on me and convince me to go bowling with him and his buddies who had come up to celebrate his return from another tour.  There was no way an 55 year old would fit in, but he made it happen.  Needless to say the focus was more on rapid consumption of beverages than it was on actual bowling, and evolved into one of those evenings you wold try to forget...except there was no need since I couldn't remember much anyway, something about a lost shoe and glasses, and for several months seemingly random people saying "Hi Uncle Bill!"  

The point it, even on a night where he had every reason to celebrate his own achievement he took the time to look after someone who needed to feel part of this world in a moment of darkness, because that's who he was.  He took care of his family, he took care of his friends, and he took care of his country.  

I wish I could have done nearly as well.

Dennis & Ann I cannot imagine your loss. I am so very sorry.
