McCoy, John E. Sr. (Ted) of Centereach, on May 5, 2012. Proud WW II Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Marie. John and Marie were married for 49 years when she passed in 1999. John is the loving father of Therese Policastro, John E. Jr. and his wife Nannette, Edward and his wife Suzanne, Michael and his wife Judy, Steven and his wife Kathy, Paul and his wife Christine and Dennis and his wife Ann. John is the cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. John was known for his great sense of humor and loved dancing and singing. He was a founding member of the Assumption BVM RC Church and co-owner of the Lake Grove inn with his late brother Jim. John worked for many years in the fields of both construction and insurance. The McCoy family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach. His Funeral Mass will be Wednesday 9:45 AM at Assumption BVM RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of John to your favorite charity.
