Karl Njerve, 42, was a doting husband and father. He was liked by all and loved by so many. He loved Sundays spent with family, and he loved spending time with his wife, daughter, and parents. His daughter, Charlotte was his world. He built a giant dollhouse for her and a stage for her karaoke birthday party. He loved cars - he would often take the long way just to enjoy the drive, and dreamed of owning a '69 Camaro. He liked golfing with his friends, watched The Jersey Shore to have a laugh, and he loved movies, particularly Pulp Fiction. When he would drive to the beach, he would visibly relax as he neared the shore. He loved the Lord, and we take solace in knowing that he is by His side in Heaven.
Karl was born in Huntington Hospital, and raised in Huntington Station. He attended Walt Whitman High School and graduated with the Class of 1990. He was a wonderful child to his loving parents, Kennet and Gunhild, and never gave them any trouble. He loved his Grandma, his father's mother, who made him cake and won his heart.
Karl went on to Farmingdale State College, where he earned both an Associate's and Bachelor's degree. In 1993 while in college Karl met his wife, Beth, while watching the stars in Riverhead. They did not meet again until a year later and have been together ever since. Karl brought Beth a red rose for every date for their first year together. They were married for 14 wonderful years. In 2009, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Charlotte Christine, who thinks her Daddy hung the moon.
Karl is survived by his wife, Beth Njerve, his 5-year old daughter Charlotte; his parents, Kennet and Gunhild Njerve; his sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and John Zack; his mother-in-law and sister-in-law Christine and Vikki Hill; and countless friends.
