Michele Overton Piro

PIRO, Michele (nee Overton) – of Lake Grove, NY at age 39. After a valiant, ten month struggle with pancreatic cancer on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at home surrounded by those who loved her. Loving, devoted wife and guiding light of Lenny Piro; cherished daughter of Stephen and Dorothy Overton; dear sister of Cherie (Joseph) Kilgannon; adored daughter-in-law of Len, Sr. and Denise Piro; beloved sister-in-law of Anthony, Desiree, and Ashley Piro; treasured granddaughter of Lucy Van Eron, Anne Barone, and Connie Fiorentino; niece of seven uncles and five aunts; and, cousin to twenty-eight. A Licensed Funeral Director, she was the founding manager of Jewish Memorial Chapel of Long Island and a valued colleague of all who worked with her at the Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes in New York and Long Island. Visiting Sunday, November 22, 4:30 -8PM at the O.B. Davis Funeral Home, 2326 Middle Country Rd., Centereach, NY where a Life Tribute Ceremony will be conducted at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 AM at St. Joseph RCC, 45 Church Street, Ronkonkoma, NY.
