Mrs Urgo was a very sweet loving caring fun lady who always dressed so chic and had a wonderful personality.
Her daughter Darlene is one of my dearest closest friends . Mrs Urgo referred to me as the girl who used to live in the city! I loved that expression.
May she rest in peace and watch over Darlene and Bill in their new home in Conway! ❤️🥰🙏
Im sure shes dancing and smiling  in heaven with  her husband and Charlie

I am so grateful to my Aunt Yvonne for providing  many wonderful memories during my childhood such as backyard barbecues, Christmas Eve dinners , family movie watching in the basement, my bridal shower and many other fun filled holidays and events at Magenta Street. 
Aunt Yvonne lived a full life filled with family, friends, coworkers, and fellow church members. She was blessed in her final years to be supported by her children, who provided for her living arrangements and medical care, but also her emotional and environmental enrichment. Darlene, in particular, who every weekend took her mom out of the Assisted Living facility for an afternoon outing to TJ Maxx, or for pizza, or a local flea market or craft fair. What a wonderful life she led. Thank you Aunt Yvonne for the memories. Say hi to everyone in heaven and rest in peace. You deserve it.

Many years ago while on vacation Raymond invited us to stop by the family home for breakfast. Mrs. Urgo prepared a delicious breakfast and was the best hostess you could ever meet. Darlene also assisted and we all had such a great time. Your Mom was one of a kind and touched so many individuals. I can close my eyes and picture your Mom in her kitchen.
May fond memories brighten the days ahead!

I was introduced to Yvonne by her son Raymond. He and I met in Los Angeles where we were both living. I first met Yvonne in LA and ever since that time, she always asked Raymond about me as "your friend with the dogs." When I came to NY in 2014, I had the pleasure of being hosted by Yvonne for tea at her home. She so kindly welcomed my dog Crystal and it was such a lovely visit. I greatly appreciated Yvonne's  kind gesture and so enjoyed my visit with her. Having grown up on Long Island myself, Yvonne's particular brand of hospitality was so familiar. It reminded me of how my own mother hostessed her guests and that is a lovely thing. I am so happy that I got to meet Yvonne and although the quantity of time I spent with her was small, the quality of that time was enormous! 

Yvonne was one of the sweetest, most caring woman we had the pleasure of knowing.  Any time we had the pleasure of her company we were amazed at what a classy woman she was. The love of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always showed with the smile on her face when she was speaking of them.  Being a part of her family and friends warmed our hearts. Thank you, Darlene and Bill for letting us be a part of her life. We love you and will always keep Yvonne in our hearts and memories.


Yvonne was such a lovely woman.  We will miss seeing her at Darlene and Bill’s holiday parties.  Always dressed for the occasion in her matching outfits and jewelry.  Yvonne was a true fashionista!  May she Rest In Eternal Peace.  Love Mary & Bill.

We loved visiting Mrs. Urgo at the Atrium. You could never leave without having a cup of coffee and a banana (at the cafe), Her bedroom, with her special decor, right down to the vanity enhanced, her special place. We have several stories. The one that makes us laugh, is waiting one hour for her to come down stairs. She had to finish putting her make-up on and picking out her jewelry. Mrs. Urgo looked beautiful. We all enjoyed Tom Paris, The Guitar Man Entertainer at her 90th Birthday. We loved Mrs. Urgo and she will be missed.  Love, Colleen and Wayne

She always had the cutest outfits on and of course the matching shoes and the perfect jewelry to match her outfit.

Mrs. Urgo was one in a million. I'm so grateful that Aunt Darlene shared her with me all of my life. She was like a bonus grandmother to me -  I am still referred to as LBK for "Little Blonde Kelli," as she named me maaaaany years ago.  I always asked Aunt Darlene for updates on "EveOn" (one of her grandchildren wondered why Papa called her "Eve - On," and it tickled us!), and I will miss hearing of her adventures and seeing pictures of her - all dolled up, of course!  I can hear her sweet voice in my mind - whether saying, 'George, did you hear that?' ("The dog knows Russian!" - remember that, AD?) to her beloved husband or asking Darlene a question. She always welcomed me  (and my children) with open arms, and I'm better for it. I'll have to remember to ask myself "What would Mrs. Urgo do?" when I get ready to go out into the world and put on some jewelry! She truly sparkled, whether she was covered in her beloved bling or not, and the world is a darker place without her bright light.  I'll miss her and always hold her close in heart.  Aunt Darlene, Uncle Bill, Raymond, Georgette, Bob, and family - I'm truly sorry for your loss.  There are no words, but I hope knowing how fondly she is thought of and remembered will help comfort you. I smile when I think of her, and I can think of no finer epitaph than that. Mrs . Urgo( Yvonne) was a beautiful inside and out lady , always had a pretty smile and was very loving caring and the most fashionable dresser I known. She always had matching earrings necklace ,bracelet and looked gorgeous! She was the best dressed at every holiday- Christmas, Halloween, 4 th of July etc.
I went to high school with her youngest sweet friend of mine Darlene and she affectionately referred you me “as the girl who used to live in the city”. I loved it!
I spent many times at Darlene and Bills for barbecues and at the beach with Mrs Urgo and she was always the life of the party!
Darlene had a mother daughter luncheon a coupe of times and my Mom and I really enjoyed it! Mrs Urgo made us all laugh!!
I will miss her loving ways beautiful smile and warm personality!
May she Rest In Peace ! God Bless her! She’s now with her beloved husband and friend Charlie !

Your mom Yvonne, is a very special and loving lady; Strong, accepting and very positive. I’ll always think of Darlene’s mom when I see a beach. And how she was a great shopper!!

Yvonne was very well taken care of in her older years, which her family can feel very good about. The best was done to accomplish her comfort, peace of mind, living situation and the most important connections with family and friends!! I’ll miss hearing Darlene’s antidotal positive words and thoughts from Yvonne. 

A woman of class and dignity. Mrs. Urgo never let life or it’s challenges stop her. She lived a full life and always embraced every opportunity for fun. From Red Lobster lunches, mall shopping with Darlene to bravely relocating to Ft Meyers, she is a role model for all. God speed Yvonne!❤️
