Betty June Waldrop

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Amy Blacklock and her husband of 66 years, Clifton Waldrop.

Betty is survived by her children, Debra Callender and her husband Johnny, Katherine Firmin and her husband Bob, Connie Bennett and her husband Wayne, and Brent Waldrop and Liya K; brothers, Martin Blacklock (Kathy), Jack Blacklock (Virginia “Tootie”); one sister, Laverne Barrick. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob Caruso, Joshua Caruso (Amanda), Clint Callender, Shannon Harrell (Dean), Matthew Bennett (Brittany), Andrew Bennett (Mattie), Luke Bennett, Haley Waldrop (Luke), and Nathan Waldrop; and her great grandchildren, Sasha, Sammy, and Eloise Ann Caruso, Noah Ducote, Andie Bennett, and Reagan Harrell. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion and especially, Renee Batiste, Margaret, and numerous other caregivers.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation to be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Central Funeral Home at 9995 Hooper Rd, Central, LA 70818 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Immediately following the service a celebration of life reception will be held at Central Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in Azalea Rest Cemetery. Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
