Elaine "Aline" Aguillard

Elaine “Aline” Aguillard, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Central, went home on December 20, 2020 after a brief illness at the age of 94. She was a cadet nurse at the end of WWII and cared for many of the babies of Baton Rouge in the nurseries of both the Baton Rouge General and Woman’s Hospitals. She also was a member of First Baptist Church in Central. She is survived by her son, Jamie; daughter, Kohne Keen (John); granddaughter, Lauren Leibenguth (Kyle); grandson, Jared Aguillard (Jessica); and her great grandson, Atticus Leibenguth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Godwin; her parents A.D. and Roberta Forbes; and her sisters Jewel Forbes, Ruby Truax, and Evelyn Berard. Visitation will be at Central Funeral Home at 9995 Hooper Rd, Central, LA 70818 on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service immediately following. Interment will occur at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Louisiana National Cemetery at 303 W Mt Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA 70791. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and the staff at Clarity Hospice for their excellent care. Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
